About My Art

I'm a concept artist, which if you don't know, is sort of an illustrator. I do the sketches that come before a video game or movie finalizes the design of a character, prop, place, or whatever. I've always enjoyed the sketches of pieces more than finished works. It's like peering into the creators mind, seeing what steps they took to lead them to the final piece. Anyways, here are a few of my works to peruse through.
This is Charlotte, the main character of my conceptual video game, "Viva La Revolution". She's a psychopath who runs wild assassinating the aristocracy during the French Revolution. This video game is obviously supposed to have a rather dark sense of humor.
And here she is, the queen herself. As the final boss, Marie Antoinette would throw cake at your character and release rat minions from her hair to swarm you. Again, ridiculous is the word I had in mind when creating this game.
Conceptual sketches for a race of jungle dwelling folk. Sneaky thievery is their game, they pounce on lost travelers to acquire goods they would otherwise be cut off from.
Concept art for yet another video game, this time Steampunk Peter Pan. Here is what would be a mermaid in the game, equipped with a jetpack (because they'd be living in the skies, not the ocean), a pocket watch (to mesmerize and confuse her opponents), and a flamethrower gun (because why the fuck not).
A redesigned cover of Nancy Drew and the Old Clock. It was an interesting style I tried out for a while, the scratchy lines, but in the end I abandoned it for a cleaner look.
We were tasked with making a 12/21/12 illustration, aka the apocalypse of 2012 (that never happened). I decided to illustrate the event in the most literal sense.
Robots. My first and last attempt, I was not made for machines. But I was happy with how they turned out for never having drawn anything mechanical before.
